Since the Freitag name first appeared as a plumbing supply store in Terre Haute, Indiana, in 1883, Freitag-Weinhardt has benefited from many changes. These changes have allowed us to become more nimble and responsive to our customers’ needs. Freitag-Weinhardt has evolved into a full-service mechanical contractor driven by the industrial base located in Terre Haute and the Midwest.

Freitag-Weinhardt, Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Wilhelm Construction, Inc. Wilhelm Construction, Inc. was formed in 2000 and is the holding company of F.A. Wilhelm Construction, Poynter Sheet Metal, and Freitag-Weinhardt, Inc.

Presently Freitag-Weinhardt performs an annual volume of approximately $45 million with a field force peaking at over 300. Much of Freitag-Weinhardt’s success as a mechanical contractor comes from our ability to generate over 80% of our annual business from repeat customers. This base has allowed us to excel in the pharmaceutical and industrial markets and utilize that expertise to meet the needs
of the power and commercial markets.
