Freitag-Weinhardt
provides mechanical construction services to industrial
and commercial customers throughout the Midwest. We
are experienced in all aspects
of construction and maintenance work, especially projects
requiring labor-intensive, complex processes. These
projects require extensive planning and scheduling to
achieve critical completion dates and highly skilled
tradesmen to implement the plan.
We employ the most experienced managers in the Midwest
and use the latest tools
to successfully administer our projects. A majority
of our work is for the highly regulated food, power,
pharmaceutical and chemical industries. Work in these
industries requires proficiency in working with materials
such as fiberglass, stainless and carbon steel and exotic
alloys.
Our fabrication facility in
Terre Haute, Indiana, enables us to transfer work from
the field to a climate-controlled facility, where productivity
and quality control are
much greater. The transfer of this work to the fab shop
decreases the amount of manpower required on the jobsite,
which lessens the problems associated with the stacking
of trades.
Being among the largest employers of mechanical construction
labor in Indiana,
we attract highly skilled, qualified craftspersons.
Freitag-Weinhardt maintains its
own field forces for all mechanical and civil trades.
This advantage allows us to mobilize field staff quickly
for projects with high manpower requirements.
Freitag-Weinhardt adapts to the most up-to-date technologies
to effectively
administer job controls and fieldwork activities. Our
managers and field staff are highly trained and proficient
in the use of many information technologies.
We have demonstrated leadership in safety and quality
control. Freitag-Weinhardt
has been recognized by Owners and professional associations
for our commitment
to safe and efficient work environments. Our Safety
Program is designed to
effectively and safely manage work activities within
industrial facilities. Our Quality Control Program stresses
the importance of consistently high quality and efficiency.
Freitag-Weinhardt ranks safety as its highest priority.
We constantly strive to
achieve zero incidents on all of our projects. We employ
a full-time Safety Director who enforces a comprehensive
safety program with several safety supervisors on multiple
sites. Our safety program is closely monitored and managed
in the field at every stage of the project.
Freitag-Weinhardt is active in the Metro Indianapolis
Coalition for Construction
Safety (MICCS),
whose goal is to improve safety on all construction
sites.

Among our unique capabilities is the operation of our
own large ASME certified fabrication
facility located at our Terre Haute office. This
facility boasts over
18,000 square feet of space divided among three individual
fabrication buildings.
The carbon steel fabrication shop is separated from
the stainless fabrication shop
for cleanliness and tooling issues. A third building
is used for overflow work in the event additional capacity
is needed. The fabrication shops are structured for
smooth material flow throughout the fabrication process
in order to promote productivity and quality. We hold
ASME code stamps PP, A, R, S and U.

The assembly of a qualified project team, with extensive
hands-on experience, is essential to the successful
completion of every job. Access to qualified project
personnel, be it management, supervisory, engineering
or construction
tradesperson, is a strong suit of Freitag-Weinhardt.
This access to high-quality personnel has permitted
the Company to peak at over 1250 mechanical tradesmen
and complete $100 million of construction in a single
year. Our projects have ranged in size to over 600,000
man-hours and 500 tradesmen for an eight-month period
on a single project. Personnel experienced in lump sum,
cost plus a fixed fee, or
time and material contract scenarios are on staff.
Freitag-Weinhardt self-performs work in all of the
mechanical construction trades.
